GLab Pathology Center Co., Ltd.(GPC)is a subsidiary company of GeneticLab. five pathologists and 13 cytotechnologists join this center, and have offered advanced pathological diagnostic service, including specimen preparation, for histopathology & cytopathology, by means of up-to-date techniques, such as the gene analysis and imaging technology. At present, we conduct histopathological diagnosis of over 50,000 biopsies and surgical specimens, and also cytological diagnosis of approximately 80,000 smear specimens procured from more than 260 hospitals.

Immunohistochemistry, Image Analysis and FISH

For highly-qualified diagnosis and proper therapeutics, GPC conducts immunohistochemistry of either qualitative or semiquantitative basis with a wide range of validated antibodies of prepared list. The image analysis system (Ariol(R)) is a potent tool for the quantitation of significant biomarkers. FISH technique is also introduced for viral integration such as HPV or ploidy analysis of pathologic cells.

Gene Analysis

GPC provides analytical services for chimeric genes and clonality check of malignant lymphoma/leukemias and sarcomas. GPC has recently developed and has started clinical application of the human papillomavirus (HPV) detection test (PapiPlex(TM)) for determination of HPV genotypes infected in the cervical smear samples.We perform not only pathological diagnosis, but also provide informative data useful for therapy and prognosis based on genome and transcriptome analyses and image analyzing technology.
